American actress Courtney Thorne Smith was born on the 8th of November, 1967. Her roles include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy's regular role on Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was raised in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was an analyst in the field of computer markets, and her mother, Lora Thorne, was a therapist. Courtney aged seven years old, separated from her father Walter Smith. She lived with both parents for a variety of times. She has a younger sister named Jennifer, who is an executive in the field of advertising. She attended the Menlo-Atherton High school in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. In high school, she also was a member of the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne Smith made her first film role in 1986's Lucas with Winona Ryder and Corey Haim. She also appeared in various films in the latter half of the 1980s, such as Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she appeared as an actress in the box office chairman of the board, a failure, alongside Carrot Top. In 2009 she appeared in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith has dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen mate from Melrose Place. The actress wed geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. The couple divorced in 2001. Roger Fishman, the president of Zizo Group marketing and author of What I Know, was her husband. The couple welcomed Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008, at 40 years old.
