His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson uploaded his videos to YouTube when he was 13, and he used the handle "MrBeast6000". He started with Let's Plays, as well as "videos of his estimation of how rich other YouTubers are" content. In 2017 his "counting up to 100,000" YouTube video became viral. He was 13 years older and was using the username "MrBeast6000". The first videos were Let's Plays and videos that analyzed the wealth of other YouTubers. Donaldson employed a number of his childhood pals as helpers to run his growing channel. The MrBeast channel had a subscriber count of 60 as of 2022. It reached 100 million subscribers on the 28th of July 2022.
